Screen Printing

In the screen printing workshops we experiment with colour and pattern, however you are welcome to focus on your own designs. We will learn how to create and cut your own paper stencils and screen print onto paper and fabric. We will print using a range of pigments and binder onto the surface.

No experience necessary, all materials are provided. Please wear cloths that you don’t mind getting a bit messy in. If you would like to have your designs exposed onto a silk screen please contact me 2 weeks before the workshop. I also encourage for you to see what you have at home to up-cycle and transform, rather than buying something new.

This workshop can be adapted from a 2.5 hour workshop, to an all day workshop. If you are interested in an all day workshop, I can introduce new processes, experimenting with a range of textile inks such as screen printing with specialist binders, puff, metallic and pearl.

The first hour of the workshop will be spent undertaking a range of experimental drawing and mark making techniques. Participants will then begin to draw and create hand cut stencils ready to screen print onto material, focusing on your own designs. We will print onto a range of heavy and light weight materials, layering colours and working in repeat patterns. This workshop is suitable for teachers, designers, students and for those who are curious about design. The screen printing workshop is also suitable for textiles, fine art, fashion and interiors. Participants are welcome to bring additional material with them if they wish. Feel free to make your own hand cut stencils prior to the workshop, this will allow more time for printing during the day.

*Prices vary depending on the length of the workshop + the amount of people. Please email me for more details through the ‘CONTACT’ page.
